24 Hours With Only My Air Fryer

When I’m trying to get creative in the kitchen its important to limit myself. Most times those limitations come from limiting my ingredients and only cooking with what I have on hand at that moment. But todays a bit different because instead of limiting my ingredients I’m going to limit my appliances! No oven, no food processor, no toaster, no microwave, nothing.

​​I’m only going to use my air fryer for the next 24 hours. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and munchies will all be made using only my air fryer. Is it possible? Can it be done? Well, I’m your guy for the job. I’m going to attempt to make some epic dishes. So lets get creative and have fun with it. Click here to see what I made and how everything turned out.

“Toastanut” Granola

Ingredients:

  • 2 cup of oats
  • 1/4 cup of chia seed
  • 1/4 cup of quinoa
  • 1/4 cup of dried coconut
  • 1/4 cup of coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/3 cup of raisins

    Instructions:

    1. In a large bowl combine the oats, chia seeds, quinoa, & dried coconut. Toss to combine and set aside.
    2. In a smaller bowl combine the coconut oil, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt. Place into the air fryer at 350F for 5 minutes or until the coconut oil has melted. After 3 minutes, stir to break up the coconut oil some more and place back in the fryer to full melt the mixture.
    3. Once it has melted, pour over your oat mixture and mix well to ensure that every oat is well coated.
    4. Place a parchment paper in your airfare so that none of the mixture falls through the holes. Pour your oat mixture into the air fryer and bake at 290F for 15 minutes then 270F for 30 minutes. Be sure you are watching your granola after the 30 minutes are up because it can go from golden brown to burnt in a matter of seconds. I air fried mine for another 5 minutes and it was perfect.
    5. Take it out and cool it down on a sheet pan. Combine about 1/3 cup of raisins and store in an airtight container.

      Pita Dough

      Ingredients:

      • 1 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
      • 1 1/2 cup of warm water
      • 1 tablespoon of sugar
      • 4 cups of bread flour
      • 1 1/2 tablespoon of salt

        Instructions:

        1. In a large bowl combine the instant yeast, warm water, and sugar. Give it a good mix to help dissolve the yeast.
        2. Next, add in the flour and salt and mix until all the wet ingredients have been absorbed. Cover with a towel and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
        3. Give it a stretch and fold every 10 minutes for about 30 -45 minutes or until the dough is smoother and supple.
        4. Place in the fridge for it to sit overnight and use the next morning. Scroll down to get my pepperoni roll recipe!

          Steak & “Twice Fried” Tostones

          Ingredients:

          • Ribeye steak about 1 pound
          • Salt and pepper
          • 3 medium sized green bananas
          • Oil

            Instructions:

            1. Start by heavily seasoning your ribeye with salt and pepper on both sides. Set aside and get started on the green bananas
            2. Cut the ends off the banana and then slice in half lengthwise and crosswise. You should get about 4 pieces per banana.
            3. Place them in a large bowl and toss them together with oil, salt, and pepper. Next, put them in the air fryer and fry them at 360 for 10 minutes.
            4. Then in another air fryer, preheat it to 400F for 6 minutes for the steak.
            5. In the meantime, spray your steak with some oil. Once the air fryer has preheated, place your steak in and fry for 6 mins. Depending on the thickness of your steak, it might need more time. Mine did so I put it in for another 4 minutes.
            6. Take it out, let it cool, and pour its juices over it. Cut into slices and serve with tostones.
            7. At this time, the first fry of the tostones should be done. Take them out and place one in between a clean towel. Gently mash them and then roll them out using a rolling pin to get them super thin. Check out 9:40 to see how I did this. Repeat with all your plantains.
            8. Give the plantain another spray of oil and throw them back into the air fry at 375F for 8 minutes.
            9. Once they are done, take them out and salt them up.

              Hand Chopped Salsa Verde

              Ingredients:

              • 10 – 12 tomatillos, husks removed
              • 1 onion, cut into chunks
              • 1 ripe avocado
              • Handful of cilantro leaves
              • pinch of salt
              • Splash of lime or vinegar

                Instructions:

                1. Place the tomatillos and onion into the air fryer at 380F for 8 minutes. Once they are done pour it out onto a cutting board and add your avocado, cilantro leaves, salt, and vinegar.
                2. Using a sharp knife, roughly chop everyting together. You can see how I did this here!
                3. Serve with your plantains and steak. Enjoy!

                  Peach Gallete

                  Ingredients:

                  • 2 peaches, skin removed and sliced
                  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
                  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
                  • Pinch of salt
                  • Splash of vanilla extract
                  • Hint of apple cider vinegar or lemon
                  • 1 pie crust
                  • 1 egg, for an egg wash

                    Instructions:

                    1. In a large bowl, combine the peach slices, sugar, cornstarch, salt, a splash of vanilla, and apple cider vinegar.
                    2. Roll out your pie dough into a 6 inch circle and pile on your peaches. Crimp the edge to encase all your peaches together. Give it a quick eggwash and a sprinkle of sugar.
                    3. Place back into the fridge for 15 – 20 minutes to harden the butter again. In the meantime, preheat your air fryer to 380F.
                    4. Fry for about 9 minutes then turn it down to 330 for 6 minutes. Enjoy warm with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream!

                      Fruit Parfait

                      Ingredients:

                      • 1 cup of yogurt
                      • 1 teaspoon honey, optional
                      • 1/4 cup of sliced strawberries
                      • 1/4 cup of sliced peaches
                      • 1/4 cup of “tostanut” granola

                        Instructions:

                        1. In a bowl or mason jar, start off by pouring 1/3 cup of yogurt followed by some honey if your yogurt is unsweetened. Then half of your strawberries, peaches, and granola.
                        2. Repeat for another layer then finish with the last 1/3 cup of yogurt and a sprinkling of some more granola.

                          Pepperoni Rolls

                          Ingredients:

                          • Overnight pita dough
                          • 1/3 cup of tomato sauce
                          • 16 – 20 slices of pepperoni (about 1/3 cup)
                          • 1/2 cup of mozzarella
                          • 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese

                            Instructions:

                            1. Flour your work surface and dump out your dough. Roll out into a large rectangle about 1/8 inch thick and continuously flour your work surface as you need.
                            2. Spread out your tomatoes sauce followed by your pepperoni, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese. Roll it up gently into a log and cut into 9 rounds.
                            3. Place a parchment paper onto the air fryer container and then line up your 9 rolls inside the container. Proof in the air fryer for 1 – 2 hours with the air fryer off.
                            4. Once they have slightly risen, air fry them at 350F for 10 minutes. Then remove the parchment paper so that the bottom can brown as well. Throw it back into the air fryer for another 8 minutes

                              24 Hours With Only My Air Fryer

                              Ingredients:

                              Ingredients for "Toastanut" Granola:
